If you have been using older sockets (sold until May 20, 2016), product compatibility is now different. Check the table below for information on the sockets you are currently using.

If you have been using older sockets W16 and smaller (Catalog Nos. 1700 to 1704, or Nos. 1712 to 1715)
Remove the spring in the socket to use the new φ5 marker heads No. 2780 and No. 2782.
* No. 2780: For red and blue ink No. 2782: For white and yellow ink
* A marking diameter of φ9 cannot be used with sockets W16 and smaller. (Only φ5 can be used.)
◆ If you have the older φ5 Marker Head MK53RB (No. 1780) or MK53WY (No. 1782), when you purchase a new socket W16 or smaller (Nos. 2700 to 2704, or Nos. 2712 to 2715), the older marker head will be exchanged for a new one (No. 2780 / No. 2782) free of charge.

If you have been using older sockets W17 or larger (Catalog Nos. 1705 to 1723, or Nos. 1716 or 1717)
Remove the spring and marker guide in the socket to use the new φ9 Marker Head No. 2783 or No. 2785.
* No. 2783: For red and blue ink. No. 2785: For white and yellow ink.
* New marker heads (No. 2780 for red and blue ink, and No. 2782 for white and yellow ink) with a marking diameter of φ5 cannot be used with older sockets.
* When marking with a marking diameter of φ5 with W17 or larger sockets, with new sockets (Catalog Nos. 2705 to 2723) use Marker Head MK53RB (No. 1780/No. 1782), and the Marker Guide No. 2786 or a marker set.
◆ If you have the older φ9 Marker Head MK93RB (No.1783) or MK93WY (No.1785), when you purchase a new socket W17 or larger (Nos. 2705 to 2723, and Nos. 2716 to 2717), the older marker head will be exchanged for a new one (No. 2783 / No. 2785) free of charge.

There has been no change to the design of Marker Head MK53RB (No. 1780) or MK53WY (No. 1782).
If you have been using MK53RB or MK53WY with older sockets W16 or smaller (Nos. 1700 to 1704, Nos. 1712 to 1715), you can continue using Marker Heads MK53RB (No. 1780) and MK53WY (No. 1782).
◆ If you have the φ5 Marker Head MK53RB (No. 1780) or MK53WY (No. 1782), when you purchase a new socket W16 or smaller (Nos. 2700 to 2704, or Nos. 2712 to 2715), the older marker head will be exchanged for a new one (No. 2780 / No. 2782) free of charge.
